IMG_2851This is my first bike ride from our NEW HOUSE.  Yes, that’s right!  Pat and I bought a new-to-us house in a 55+ gated community just 1 1/2 miles from our old house.  We had been looking for about a year and had almost given up finding one that suited our needs.  This one is near perfect, location is great, size is what we wanted and the smaller backyard  is Duffy approved.  So while I was still in Kentucky, we accepted an offer on our old house and  Pat started a whirlwind move.  One week after I got back, we were sleeping in the new house.  My “studio” is a work in progress, but I think I will have plenty of space to put my looms and yarn stash.  This was just a few things Pat was able to move while I was gone.  IMG_2264You can see my spinning wheel was one of the first things in the new house.  And I was able to get some spinning started.  This was some beautiful roving that I was lucky to win from Araignee’s Tangled Web give-away along with some wonderful soaps.  The soaps were used before any pictures were taken, but take my word, they were so pretty to look at and so good to smell.IMG_2843I have also got some knitting on the needles.  I found a nice skein of yarn at a shop in Kentucky and started a scarf.  It has some sparkle yarn and it’s super soft.IMG_2846I also started a tapestry weaving on my Hokett loom.  IMG_2845That’s it for now.

See ya,

Congrats on your new home! Your studio looks fantastic! I love all the windows and how you put your loom there. Looks great! We’re heading to Tucson for a long weekend. Excited to see our daughter, do some bike rides, and to thaw out since it’s been so cold here lately. Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂
