More Snow!

I am back in Arizona.  But before I left Kentucky, I got a big dose of winter.  I haven’t seen that much snow in my entire life.  Thankfully, my sister, Terry, and her husband, Bill, were prepared for the worst.  Terry brought five gallon buckets to fill with water for the toilets in case the power went out.  Then, they both spent all Saturday morning in freezing winds to shovel and plow out Mom’s sidewalk and the drive down to the highway. There were four foot drifts in front of the garage and several places up the hill.  If it wasn’t for their hard work, Mom and I would have been stuck for several more days.  What a great sister and brother-in-law to have!imageimageimageimageSee ya,

Yep. That’s what it was like here minus the good fortune of having a tractor and a few extra hands for shoveling. It didn’t hang around too long. We’ve got a nice covering but not much else-thank goodness.

  3. Hopefully, it will melt this week with the milder temperatures. Welcome home; settle in and call you Mom often….
