I feel like I should apologize for the following photos.  The weather in Southern Arizona has been wonderful.  Leaves are starting to appear on the cottonwood trees.IMG_2357Pat and I have been enjoying some really nice mountain bike rides.IMG_2360

Duffy is sporting his “Summer Do” and is ready for St. Patrick’s Day.

I had made a circular needle case but decided to change it into a bag.  It was knitted and then felted.  All I need to do is finish the inkle loom strap.IMG_2367 I’ve started something fun on my Schacht tapestry loom.  I am weaving a field of sheep with each one woven with my handspun wool samples from Dyed in the Wool Fiber Binder club.  IMG_2368 More socks on the needles.IMG_2369 I finished a cowl knitted with my handspun alpaca yarn.  I’m hoping I won’t need to wear it until much later this year.IMG_2373 Here’s wishing everyone a short winter and better weather ahead.

See ya,

  1. There is some great art going on here-I love the felted bag-the woven strap will be a great finishing touch! The cowl is so pretty. The weaving is incredible; I will look forward to seeing it grow! We are having enough warm days to make us think Spring is really coming after all!
(and we aren’t buried under snow!)

We’ve been having amazing weather too…70’s and 80’s with lots of sunshine. I figured what little winter weather we’d had was over and we were on to spring and summer but winter has returned. It’s quite chilly this week, we had lots of rain night before last, snow in the mountains, and more rain is in the forecast. We need all the rain we can get. So, this is good. And, as far as the cold….I’m not good with cold but our cold here in SoCal is a whole lot better than the freezing temps so many have been enduring. I sure hope those areas get some warm relief soon. Your doggy is adorable in his new do. Great projects! I’m excited to see the weaving project with the sheep. Sounds cute!
