Weaving Things

I haven’t started any large projects yet.  I am undecided about my next tapestry weaving.  Should I try the mountain lion landscape or try something more abstract?  I made a quilted guitar wall hanging many years ago that I have thought about doing in tapestry. OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA Hmmmmmmm?

Speaking of quilts, here’s the quilt I recently made for my niece, Kaylee.  I had some blocks left over from a wedding quilt I made for her cousin, so I used them for this “college dorm” quilt.IMG_2032

IMG_2038I still had enough blocks left over to make a project bag with a 12 strand Kumihimo braided cord made from embroidery floss.IMG_2043

Last, but definitely not the least, Duffy needed a new collar.IMG_2056

  1. Great quilt from ‘left overs’!!! The purse is pretty spectacular, too!

  2. Hi Sandy. Yes I did want you on my blog but I have been having problems with transferring them – however i managed yours tonight. I do love your dog collar. So much nicer than a bought one.

That quilt is gorgeous!!! I bet she loved it! I like the bag you made with leftovers too. The cord closure with the bead that you add to those bags is so cool! I love it! I love the dog collar too! I’d thought about how inkle weaving would work for leashes and stuff but my thoughts never went any further. Hmmmm? Maybe I need to make my dog a new collar! 😉
