No Fooling! Happy Birthday, Dad!

Today, April 1st, is my father’s birthday.  Yes, he was born on April’s Fool Day, and throughout the years his family and friends have taken advantage of the “Special Day” for my dad.  One year, he and my mother attended a cattle auction on his birthday .  Right in the middle of the sale, the auctioneer announced that there was a singing telegram to be delivered to “Mr. Gene.” A scantily clad lady walks up to my dad and proceeds to sing “Happy Birthday” to him.  The rest of the crowd joined in.  There were no pictures taken, but I’m sure my dad can remember every detail to this day.

So here’s a Very Happy Birthday Wish.  Love ya, Dad!
