Knock, Knock …..

Who’s there?   A new Photo Challenge, that’s who!  After running some ideas past Basically Benita and Delighted Hands, I am offering a Monthly Photo Challenge featuring architectural elements.  At the end of each month, you can post your photos  on your blog for the selected subject and then check here for the next month’s object.  And keeping with the “Knock, Knock” title, (and since I’m starting this rather late in the month), the first subject will be “Doors”.   So, get those cameras charged and let the fun begin!

My garden is growing slowly.  I’m fortunate to live in an area that I can grow something all year.  Pat pulled up a very nice diakon radish.

I’m not sure how well snow peas will do. There are a few blooms, but I don’t see any pods forming.  I’m going to let it go a little longer and see if I can get at least one meal out of it.

This is my first time with Kale.  I pulled enough for a salad today.Image

Romaine lettuce is doing nicely in my small greenhouse.Image

But spinach is just sitting there.  It’s been like this for two weeks.  So I pulled everything out this morning.  I’ll have enough for a spinach lasagna.

ImageOn a different note, Pat and I and attended a Americana Western Music show yesterday featuring “Tumbleweed Rob and the Southwest Junction”.  It’s the second time we’ve seen them perform and had a toe-tapping good time!  If they are ever in your area, I highly recommend them. Here is their website:

See ya,
