Yes, It’s “Y”-time!

We are almost to the end of Benita’s Alphabet Photo Challenge.  I’ve really enjoyed getting to know the Photo Challenge bloggers through the interpretations of each letter.  And a big thanks to Benita for setting up this challenge.

With my blog called “My Yellow Swing”, guess what I’ve got?  Duffy and I sitting on my Yellow swing.Image

There is a lot of Yellow around my house.  The tree behind our wall is a palo verde and the blooms on it are beautiful.ImageImage

The tree in our front Yard is an Arizona ash and the leaves are a golden Yellow in the fall.Image

One of the plants I use in natural dyes is a rabbitbrush.  It has Yellow flowers.Image

And finally a shout-out to my knitting group, the “Yarn Babes and Enlightenment Society”!  Our motto is “Solving the problems of the world one stitch at a time!” A super great bunch of ladies! Image

See ya!

  1. Several of those plants were new to me-love their colors! The yellow swing is the winning pic! I want to join your group of knitters!@!!

Great job with Y! I’ve seen both of those yellow flowers but didn’t know what they were called. I had no idea you could dye with the Rabbitbrush. What color does it make? I would guess yellow but I know that plants can dye colors you’d not expect. I stopped doing the alphabet challenge when we got to V. Seems like others may have too. I’ve seen very few posts from the others as we’ve gotten near the end of the alphabet. But, posts like yours make me want to catch up and keep going. You’re coming up with great stuff I never thought of . I’ll be curious to see what you come up with for Z.
