Only “O”

I had fun with this week’s letter “O”.  Some are a little outlandish, maybe even odd.

Here’s the mountain biker’s pit stop, “Outhouse”.Image

Out of gas!

Our monsoon season had the San Pedro River Overflowing. It’s normally shallow enough to walk across.Image

And because of the rains, the Ocotillo are green,Image

and blooming!Image

Something “Old”.  It’s a quilt made in 1863 by my Great-Great Grandmother.  It was the last quilt she made before going blind.  It has never been washed and you can still see the pencil markings for the hand quilting.Image

Lastly, an orifice and orifice hook.Image

Duffy was a little ornery and wouldn’t stand still for his Photo Opportunity.

See ya!

  1. What kind of spinning wheel is that?

I grew up using an outhouse – glad those days are past.

How nice to hear from you. I must say your countryside couldn’t be more different from ours. I have seen on television about the flooding of the Colorado river – terrible and such a contrast to the usual dry weather I would guess. The farmer and I have been to Colorado a couple of times and love it there. Interesting that you grew up with Holsteins – soon they will be in for winter and then I will be posting about them again. I shall put you on my blog list – please do call again.
