Knitting Retreat

Yesterday was an all day knitting retreat with my knitting group, the “SV Yarn Babes and Enlightenment Society”. We meet at a ranch that is set up for quilters’ retreats, out in the  country with quail, roadrunners and other critters running beneath the mesquite trees.   A lot of laughter, great food and some knitting were enjoyed by 18 of the neatest ladies I’ve had the good fortune to join. During the morning, I knitted on a shawl with Peruvian alpaca yarn.Image

And finished some spinning in the afternoon.Image

Most of the yarn I spin will be used in a Navajo style rug (which will never go on the floor if I have any say about it!)

  1. I love the colors you are spinning – that brown and green go very well together. I’d love to hear more about – and see – your rugs and tapestries!
